We can't believe Jarom's been here for a whole week already. He's a very well behaved baby but he's still keeping us very busy. Matt has taken this week off of work which has been very nice for all of us. I'm still recovering from birthing an 8+ pound baby but every day gets a little better. Our week has mostly consisted of feeding, changing diapers and sleeping. Jarom only wakes up once or twice in the middle of the night which is wonderful. We just keep holding our breath that that doesn't change. Getting used to being parents has been interesting but not as hard as we had anticipated. The first night home from the hospital was hard. We didn't know what we had done with the diapers and wipes and we didn't have a night light in our room so we were doing a lot of fumbling, but we seem to be getting the hang of things now. Mostly we just like to stare at little Jarom and laugh at all the funny faces he makes. He likes to go cross-eyed, and sometimes when he sleeps his little eyes roll up in the back of his head and he opens them slightly so we can see them. Kind of freaky! He makes little growling noises when he's hungry - like a little bear. He's very strong for only being a week old and will push himself up on his little arms and hold his head up when he's laying on his stomach. We've definitely been enjoying this past week with Jarom as a new part of our family.

This little guy just gets cuter and cuter every time I see him. He looks a lot like his daddy in his little green striped outfit, I can almost see him attacking the nurses chin just like his dad. I can’t wait to get him in front of my camera again….let’s do it soon OK…Love your Aunt Chuchel
