Letter to Alex: Months 17, 18, & 19

Dear Alex,

I am way behind on your monthly letters. Hopefully I can get caught up and we can go back to our regular schedule.

Month 17
At the end of March we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Watts. You had so much fun - especially with Grandpa. You started doing this funny thing where you walked around with your hands behind your back. And you thought it was fun to wear Jarom's backpack! At the beginning of April you got pneumonia and a double ear infection. You had to be on all kinds of medicines and use the nebulizer for breathing treatments which you were not a big fan of. You did like playing with the mask that went with the nebulizer though.

Month 18
You started talking a lot right after you turned 18 months. Just about every day you would have a new word: car, chair, cereal, apple, banana, hi and bye, go, for example. We celebrated Easter at the end of April and you got a furry pet that you loved playing with, some cars because you LOVE cars, a new Sunday outfit. You weren't so sure about the Easter eggs hunt. I think you'll be more into it next year. We decided it was time to get rid of your binkies. We attached them to some balloons and let them fly away. The first few nights were rough without them but after that you went to sleep just fine on your own. And you love wearing other peoples' shoes. Sometimes you can even get daddy's shoes on while wearing your own shoes!

Month 19
You love books. I found that if I gave you a book when I needed to change your diaper you wouldn't wiggle around while I was trying to change you. You love playing with Jarom and chasing him around. You're starting to enjoy the park and are starting to become a real climber! You prefer the swings to the slides but you'll climb up and down the stairs of any play equipment. We took you to A Day Out with Thomas and you had a great time. You got a train tattoo and rode the train and now you're very into Thomas.

You are growing so fast! You get into everything these days but it's such a fun age.

Love, Mommy

He is growing so fast. I feel like we never see you guys. That's something we should all work harder on resolving :) Hopefully you will feel up to it more soon, and we can see the baby more often too!
