Happy Halloween! Today you turn 50 months old! You have had a lot of fun this month but I think Halloween has been your favorite part. This year you were Iron Man! You couldn't wait for all the festivities to begin and we pretty much did Halloween stuff all weekend long.

First of all you had a Halloween party at school where you got to wear your costume. You weren't allowed to wear your mask so I painted a goatee on you so you looked like Tony Stark! They took you trick or treating around Granger High school and when you came back all of us parents were there to listen to you sing some Halloween songs.

Friday night we had a carnival at church. It started off with dinner and you went and sat with your friend Gael instead of us! I see where your loyalties lie... Next you went and did all the carnival games. You were really good at the ones where you had to throw things! You popped a balloon with a dart, you threw eyeballs into cauldrons and you threw beanbags into the clown's eyes and mouth! Very impressive. You got lots of candy from all the games which you were very excited about and then you got your face painted. A spider on one side and a pumpkin on the other.
And then of course, Saturday we went trick or treating. We had dinner with grandma and grandpa and you helped grandpa carve the pumpkin. The weather was chilly and rainy but you really wanted to go out still. We took umbrellas but you didn't care about getting wet. We walked all over grandma and grandpa's neighborhood. You made sure everybody gave Alex candy too. What a good big brother. But you got upset if people didn't recognize that you were Iron Man. You got quite the haul of candy and wanted to eat it all right away but we have kept you fairly well restrained.
You are really enjoying school. You come home with new crafts every day and you are making friends. One day you got to be the VIP and you were very excited. That meant you were the helper for the day, passing out snacks and stuff.
You have taken an interest in photography. You always want to take pictures with the camera now. You take some interesting pictures (see below) but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it and maybe you'll become really good at it!
You love playing with Alex. You are always in each others' rooms and playing with each others' toys. Sometimes you're a little rough with him and you carry him around which makes me a little bit nervous but he still loves playing with you too! You are also loving bubble baths this month. You got some bubble bath for your birthday and we just started using it. You love playing with the bubbles and covering your whole body with bubbles!
Daddy took you to the driving range this month and you had a great time! He says you have a pretty good swing and you love hitting the balls with your club. It'll be fun when you get a little older and can really go golfing with daddy. I think you'll both have a good time.
This month you also went and stayed with grandma and grandpa for about a week while mommy and daddy were in Hawaii. You were really good for them and had so much fun. You got to go to a Jazz game with them. You saw one guy laying on the floor during warmups and you told grandma he was dead. She told you he wasn't dead, he was just stretching. Grandma was telling someone else about you thinking the guy was dead and you said, "no grandma, he was just stretching." You are always saying funny things. I don't know why but you've started making weird faces every time we take a picture of you. I hope it's just a phase and you'll grow out of it soon.
Love, Mommy

I love the funny faces and goatee. It's great when they play together and I'm jealous of your hawaii trip.
I absolutely love how his hair is looking. A new cut or whatever. I feel like I've not seen you guys in ages. It's been crazy. We really need to plan something SOON.
