Matt's Surgery

Matt had surgery last week on his shoulder. Some cartilage had detached and needed to be re-attached. He doesn't know when it happened, possibly some time in high school, but over the last few years it has started to hurt and needed to be fixed. The surgery went well and he's starting to recover although everybody has said shoulder surgery takes quite awhile to recover from. He started physical therapy this week and will return to work next week but he'll have to stay in the sling for the first month and it'll probably take about three months for the cartilage to fully re-attach to the bone. Thank you so much for all your prayers and calls during this time. It really means a lot to us!

Getting ready for surgery

This is so they operate on the correct shoulder!

Matt's wounds from surgery. This was after his stitches came out. I don't know why but they took the stitches out before the incisions were healed. But it's crazy they could do all those repairs with three tiny incisions.

We've been thinking alot about you guys lately. Guess I know why now. Looks like you've had your hands (shoulders) full.
