Sad and Happy Stories

The other night we were getting ready to put Jarom to bed when he ran out of his room into the dark and ran smack dab into the corner of a wall! He runs into things a lot but not usually corners and he had a pretty bad looking cut with an even worse looking goose egg underneath. I felt so bad! He was crying so much. We didn't know if we should take him to the emergency room but as bad as it looked we didn't think it was that bad.

Once we got him calmed down he seemed just fine and he seemed fine the next day too and the swelling had started going down. He even let me put a Curious George bandaid over it and for the rest of the day, he had to tell everybody that he had hurt his head running into a wall. That was pretty funny! I even got him to tell it on video.

We've started taking Jarom on walks - partially because he loves to play outside and partially to wear him out! The other day he started galloping down the sidewalk and naying like a horse. I asked him if he was a horse and he said no. So I asked if he was riding a horse and he said yes. He's been doing that all week and then today I told him to hop. While he was hopping he started to ribbit like a frog. I don't know where he comes up with this stuff!
