Yesterday was Halloween and it was also the day you turned 14 months. It's hard to believe a year ago we had you all dressed up in a baby tigger costume. You were so little then. This year you were up running around all over the place. You had the cutest little dragon costume and your little tail wagged as you waddled around! You enjoyed all the kids you saw out trick or treating and walked right up to them to inspect their costumes. You also really liked the candy! We had so much fun dressing you up in your costume that daddy and I decided to dress up too. Daddy went as a knight and I, the damsel in distress.

We also took you to a pumpkin patch this year and you LOVED it! You tried to pick up all the pumpkins - even the ones that were bigger than you. You got to sit on a tractor and you thought that was so fun. But I think your favorite part was the bagpipers. Don't ask me why there were bagpipers in the pumpkin patch but there were and as soon as you heard them you had to be right over where they were. You just watched them wide-eyed and danced along with their tunes.

You've become more mischeivous this month. Anything you're not supposed to get into is what you get into. I seem to have to chase you from one thing to another. You pull all the books off mommy's bookshelf. I've started to recognize when I can hear the first book come off the shelf so I stop you before you're caught in the middle of a book mess. You open all the drawers in the desk in your room and pull CDs and rolls of film and more books out. And you always look so innocent when I go to reprimand you which makes it hard not to laugh at the messes.
You have become a huge fan of Elmo lately. You could sit and watch Elmo all day - and sometimes you do. We only have two Elmo DVDs but you'll watch them both over and over and over again. And you know what you want. When you come into the living room you know right where your DVDs are and pull them out to show me what you want. You're starting to understand us even if you can't communicate back yet. If I tell you to "sit down" you'll sit right down. If I tell you to go get something you're pretty good at that too.
As much as you're your mother's son where the bagpipes and music are concerned, you're definitely your daddy's son when it comes to golf. When daddy gets home you love to take him your ball and club and have him help you swing the club so you hit the ball. The two of you chase that golf ball around all over the house. I know daddy can't wait until you're old enough to play golf with him for real.
Love, Mommy
