Dear Megan,
Today you turn 11 months! You are getting to be such a big girl. You are really starting to move. You're not crawling on hands and knees but you put your hands out in front of you and pull yourself along with your arms and push off with your toes. It's really cute. Kind of like you're swimming on land.
We finally lowered your crib some. You still can't get to a sitting position from laying down but if I sit you up in your crib you pull yourself up a little bit on the bars. Not quite to standing, more like kneeling. It's kind of nice to have a child who takes her time for once!
You now have four teeth on top. They all pretty much came in one right after another. I thought that was the cause of your fussiness but you've been a little more fussy than usual lately. Maybe you're finally getting frustrated that there are things you want to do but physical limitations to doing them. And you're a total mama's girl still. Sometimes you'll warm up to people and let them hold you but usually you just want me.
You had a wonderful time in Disneyland this month! You got to go on quite a few rides and you loved them all. You love to kick your legs to show your excitement. And your legs were really kicking at Disneyland! You were even good for the trip down and back. You just played quietly in your carseat or napped.
You went swimming for the first time this month. First, at the hotel in California and then at Grandma Funk's house. She bought a larger pool for your brothers and she brought out a little baby pool for you and you love to splash around in the water.
Your hair is getting long enough for a tiny ponytail. I put one in to see if I could. I don't know that you liked it. You kept trying to pull it out and finally succeeded. It'll probably take some practice keeping them in, but we'll wait until your hair's a little bit longer.
You are such a sweetie. You have the cutest smiles and we love having you in our family.
Love, Mommy
