Letter to Alex: Month 28

Dear Alex,

Today you turn 28 months! You are such a funny kid and so so smart. You know quite a few of your colors now, you sing the ABC song pretty well, and you can count to five - sometimes six. You learn so much from Jarom, maybe you'll even be reading before you get to kindergarten.

You learn other things from Jarom too. You love watching Power Rangers and Star Wars and the two of you are always pretend fighting. Your very favorite thing is Cars though. You love playing with your Cars cars and you love Finn McMissile. Sometimes you call him Finn McPickle! And you would watch Cars 2 every day if I let you.

Before naptime, nearly every day, we read Harvey Happy Bee and Trucks. You have heard them both so many times that I let you fill in the blanks while I'm reading and you know the right words. You're getting better at staying in bed at naptime and bedtime. You like to get stickers when you've stayed in bed.

You are always causing mischief and being really silly. One day at church I took you in the hall to get a drink. When we were coming back in there was a family on the back row that was talking amongst itself and you looked at the dad and went, "Shhhhh!" He was so surprised that he did stop talking! It was so funny.

We love you and love having you in our family.

Love, Mommy
