Letter to Jarom: Month 63

Dear Jarom,

Today you are 63 months. You are doing so well in school. We had your first parent teacher conference and your teacher says you are doing really well. You can do most tasks by yourself and you're even starting to read on your own! You really enjoy school and even like doing your homework. Every month you come home with a calendar of assignments for us to work on together. Things like finding words that end in T on a page in a book, or using popcorn to write your name, or doing 15 jumping jacks. It's a lot of fun.

We went to New Mexico for Thanksgiving. It was our first road trip in our new van. Everybody did really well - probably because you were all separated. Mostly you just sat in the backseat and colored your Color Wonders pictures and played with your guys. You had a great weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Watts and also with your cousins, Spencer and Tanner. The Martins brought their dog, Arnie, with them and you loved playing with Arnie. We also went and saw the new Muppet movie and now you and Alex are obsessed with the Muppets! It was nice to all spend time together and eat lots of yummy food.

We had our first snow of the year and you and Alex went and played in the snow with daddy. You built a really cool snowman and had fun getting all bundled up, although your snowpants are too small and we need to get you some new ones. You are growing like a weed!

Your second tooth came out at the beginning of the month. We didn't think it would be a big deal to get it out because you knew your first tooth didn't hurt when it came out so this one wouldn't either. But you wouldn't let any of us near it! It became really loose after you chewed on some cereal so Daddy told you to pull it out. You were totally freaking out and then barely touched your tooth and it popped out! You were laughing and crying at the same time and it was so funny.

You love playing with Alex and you are a good big brother. You love taking care of Megan too. You are such a good boy. Sometimes I have to remind myself that you're only 5 and still a little kid because you are growing up so fast.

Love, Mommy

That's so funny about his tooth. Laughing and crying at the same time. :D I'm glad I'm not the only one that struggles to remember the kids ages. My biggest issue is with Kaitlyn though, she's too mature and acts much older than she is most of the time.
