Happy half birthday! Today you turn 6 months old. In celebration, Daddy and I went to see Iron Man 2:) I'm sure you'll love it - when we let you watch it in about 13 years! You are such a happy baby and love to smile all the time. You are rarely upset, so when you were seriously cranky a couple weeks ago I knew something was wrong. I took you to the doctor and you had blisters in your throat from a virus - probably coxsackie virus. Sadly we just had to wait it out. You were miserable and I felt so bad but within a few days you were back to your usual smiley self!
You are starting to sit up by yourself. You can usually sit for a few minutes before you topple over. And you are rolling all over the place. Sometimes you forget how to get from your tummy to your back but for the most part you can roll and roll. You use your little legs to kick yourself off the floor and move in a sort of circular motion too. I don't think it'll be too long before you start crawling. Then we're really in trouble! We only had one level when Jarom was your age so we've got some serious staircase babyproofing to do.
You are starting to like playing with your toys. You are beginning to get the hang of your exersaucer and will play in that for 15-30 minutes at a time. If I lay you on the floor you are content with little stuffed animals and teething toys for awhile. Your favorite is your little blanket with a green frog head attached to it from Aunt Laura. I've also put a little musical sea mobile thing on your crib and you like to watch that to fall asleep too.
You were sleeping through the night but not so much anymore. You are constantly getting out of your blankets and freaking out so we may have to see about getting you to sleep without being wrapped up. A few nights I strapped you to the cradleboard so you couldn't get out and you slept well then but you're getting too big for that! It's getting too hot for your blankets anymore too.
We've been going for walks now that the weather is getting warmer and you love riding in your stroller! You're getting the hang of baby food too although you would rather just be eating whatever we are eating! If we hold you while we eat you look longingly at our food. It's so cute! Soon enough you'll be eating everything in sight. Just like your brother!
You are such a good baby. I can't believe it's been 6 months already! Looking forward to many more months and years to come.
