Dear Jarom,
Today your are 10 months! The time is just flying and soon it will be your birthday. You finally got in the last of your front teeth and for the last week you have been much more pleasant. So, now you have 8 teeth - 4 on top and 4 on bottom. I think I can wait awhile before any more teeth decide to work their way through your gums. We finally started brushing your teeth this month. I know, I know, we haven't been very good about that before now. But you LOVE to have your teeth brushed. It's just a little brush that fits on my finger and some baby toothpaste without flouride. Whenever you see it coming you open your mouth wide so I can start scrubbing your teeth. You think it's so fun and I'm glad. Let's hope you always enjoy dental hygeine. I can't wait until we can get you a real toothbrush so you can stop chomping down on my finger when it's in your mouth!
This month we took you to the zoo for the first time. I think you'll be more interested as you get older but you did pretty well. You seemed to like the white alligator, Antoine. And you really liked the porcupines and meerkats in the small animals house. Probably because they were up close to the glass so you could see them better.
You also went swimming this month for the very first time. As much as you love your baths we were pretty sure you'd like swimming too and we were right. The first time was over at Jenni and Travis' house, you got in the little swimming pool with Dylan. You had a good time until you rolled on your back and went under the water and we had to pull you out! Then daddy and I took you swimming at the community pool and you loved that too. We'll have to get you into swimming lessons soon.
You're starting to stand up by yourself now and you can stand with no help for quite awhile. You're getting really tall and love to grab the keyboard on the computer desk and also pull out the drawers in the desk in your room. Your favorite toys are your fishing pole and golf clubs. You found where daddy kept one of his clubs and would always go back and pull it out and play with it. We decided to get you your own plastic set and you carry them around all over the place. We just want to buy you more and more toys to watch you get so excited about them!
Love,
Mommy
