Today you turn 43 months. You are getting so big and learning so much all the time. Lately your favorite thing to say that is so funny is, "That's ridiculous." I don't know where you picked it up but when we tell you something that's usually your response. You also like to play with these magnets that daddy has but you pronounce it "maggets" and that's funny too! The other day you told us you had lazy eyes. You meant laser eyes but lazy eyes is funny. One day you went to the store with daddy and the salesman asked if you guys needed help finding anything. You said, "I need a cowboy hat. Do you have any cowboy hats?" He said they had raccoon hats and you said, "I need a cowboy hat." We never know what's going to come out of your mouth!
We go to the library every week. You love it because there are always kids there to make friends with! We always go on Thursday because that's when they have Toddler Time. You learn songs and listen to fun books and do some sort of craft. This past month was Dr Seuss' birthday so you did the hokey pokey with red fish, blue fish and made a Horton hat! I'm glad you're learning to love the library as much as I do.

You love to help take care of Alex and you give him big hugs and try to move him around by yourself which is a little scary. But you're so cute with him when he cries. You start singing "Twinkle twinkle little star" or some other little song to get him to stop crying. And sometimes it actually works! Alex just adores you. He always has a smile ready when he sees his big brother.
Your new favorite thing is Play-doh. Grandma bought you some and you love making it into cubes or hot dogs or cutting it out with cookie cutters. We'll have to get some for our house so you can have something fun to do inside. You love Astro-Boy and anything with aliens. You watched Race to Witch Mountain and a few other things with aliens and now you're a little obsessed with and also a little scared of aliens.
We're still struggling with potty training. I finally made a potty chart and you get to put stickers on the chart when you go potty and that seems to have you motivated a little bit. At least until we tell you you need to start pooping in the potty. I don't know why that's a scary thing for you but you WILL NOT poop in the potty. So... we just keep working on it. Eventually you will be potty trained. I just hope it's before Alex!
Regardless of the difficulty of potty training, you still fill our home with joy.
Love, Mommy

He's growing up so fast.
I love those pictures and I'm glad I'm not the only one with potty training troubles. I was told it was an oldest thing and then someone else told me it was a boy thing. I guess we both have two strikes against us.
