Letter to Jarom: Month 35

Dear Jarom,

Today you turn 35 months. You have been saying the funniest things this month. You like to stand on our bed and punch at the mirror really fast. The other day you were being all crazy doing it and you said, "I'm a spaz!" We didn't even know you knew what that meant. Then another day you were throwing a fit when daddy called to say he was on his way home. You always want to talk to daddy when he calls and while you were talking to him you said, "I'm freaking out!" We couldn't stop laughing. You always have to talk to whoever is on the phone and then when you're done talking to them you just say, "Bye!" and hang up whether we were done or not. I guess we'll have to work on your phone etiquette. You've started adding Ds to words that don't need them like funndy instead of funny and you say spikey for spicey but all in all we're understanding more and more of what you say.

We went to the zoo this month and you had a great time. We got to see the Madagascar animals and you even got to touch the hissing cockroach and make him hiss! After seeing those animals you wanted to watch Madagascar again. It was a fun time at the zoo and it's nice to see you're finally interested in watching the animals this time and you got really excited about some.

I've been taking you to the park a lot lately. You love to play at the park, especially if there are other kids there. Before we're even out of the car you're saying, "Hey kids! It's me, Jarom!" You love playing with other kids and we've had the opportunity to play with quite a few kids this month. You played with Amanda's daughter, Piper, and Em's son, Owen and ever since you tell me you want to go back and play with them.

Grandma and Grandpa Watts came and stayed with us this month since we finally have a spare bed and you loved having them here so much. Every morning you'd wake up and go right down to see them. You had such a fun time dragging Grandpa (or Papa as you say) to your room and making him play with you all afternoon! I think he liked it too.

We went to Daddy's work party at Wheeler Farm this month. You loved seeing all the animals and running around. They had inflatable slides and obstacle courses and you played on those for an hour! You were really good at getting through all the obstacles although we had to explain to you about waiting in line for your turn. You had a tendency to just jump in front of everybody so you could get on right away.

We celebrated Independence Day and Pioneer Day too and had fun with family and friends. We went to the Southtowne Expo Center to see the floats for the Pioneer Day Parade and you thought those were really cool. A guy made you a sword out of a balloon and you thought that was great. Unfortunately it popped as soon as we got home and you were so sad. We went to your cousin, Spencer's birthday party on Pioneer Day and you had fun playing at the park with your cousins, then we went to Dylan's house for fireworks. You thought they were pretty cool but very loud. You kept covering your ears! Next time I'll remember ear plugs.

This is such a fun time in your life and I love to watch you grow!

Love, Mommy

Love the pictures. It's been a really hectic month hasn't it?!? I'm hoping that some of the chaos is coming to an end, even though it's been fun stuff.
