Dear Jarom,
Today you turn 7 months. It's still 5 months away but I just keep thinking about your first birthday and what we'll do. No finalized plans yet, just big ideas, so we'll save that for later. This has been such a fun month. You just get funnier and funnier all the time. You laugh at everything, which makes us laugh.
You love to watch other kids and I think you wish you were as mobile as they are. You make funny noises and funny faces and have started sticking your tongue out and making raspberries and then your saliva goes flying all over the place and we can't seem to keep you quiet. This happens especially at church!

You always seem to be on the go. We'll put you down somewhere and you'll be clear across the room before we know it. You roll and roll and roll. Sometimes you wake up in the middle of the night and have rolled onto your belly but you can't figure out how to roll to your back. Or maybe there's just not enough room in your crib. We had to lower the mattress in your crib because you've started pulling yourself up on the bars in your crib. And you get so frustrated when you lay on your belly because you're on the verge of crawling but you just can't quite get it yet.

We've given you more new foods. You'll eat any baby food but you're not so sure about anything else. We tried giving you little pieces of steamed carrot or mashed potatoes and you did not like that at all. Aunt Chuchel gave you some little baby biscuits and you weren't sure about those at first either but I think they're starting to grow on you. Feeding time is always an adventure. You get so excited and giggle all the way through your feedings. One day I gave you too much in your bottle after I gave you some carrots and you threw it up all over me. You thought it was so funny!

You've gotten too big for your baby bathtub so we have to put you in the regular bathtub. It was a little scary at first because you're so slippery we didn't want you slipping and bonking your head. It's happened once but you seem to be ok. You love to splash around in the water and never want to get out of the bathtub. We put you in your new swimsuit and matching hat and put you in the bathtub and you just had a great time. I can't wait to put you in a swimming pool or take you to the beach!

Love, Mommy
